Introduction To Human Pheromones

Pheromones are chemicals that the body release naturally that allow a form of silent communication between living creatures. Human pheromones are related to the gender of a person. Males have a set of pheromones and females have a set of pheromones. Humans only respond to the pheromones from other humans. The exact effect of human pheromones is not known, but studies have proven they are effective.

Human pheromones are what trigger attraction between the two sexes. They are thought to have been directly related to the days before spoken communication and language. The pheromones would signal to males that females were ready to breed, just as they do in animal and insect species. Today, though, human pheromones have been bottled and sold as the sure proof way to get a date.

In summary, effective and frequent communication is a basic foundation and key to a meaningful and long lasting relationship. In any effective relationship, that does not mean that two people need to agree on everything, but it does mean that they communicate frequently enough to consistently be "on the same page" and to respect the differing opinion of the other.

Although you cannot smell pheromones, studies in the last half century indicate humans, like animals, have the ability to attract other humans by way of phermones. So what are pheromones? They are best described as a chemical picked up by what is known as a VNO (vomeronasal organ) which is supposed to be located in the nose.

However, as you look deeper at this particular aspect, you can begin to see how some people do not have a good relationship. You know the type, where your hair stands on end the minute you see THAT person walk into a room. Most times this is simply dismissed as "there is no chemistry there" but it is more than that. That person does not act as you expect them to, you do not behave as they expect you to, and you both realize this and therefore there is conflict, dislike, and many times even a lack of respect or trust.

Whether we want to believe it or not, most people have a relationship with other that is based on how they think others EXPECT them to be. You don't agree? Think about it, examine many of your relationships, and then ask yourself if you are not that way in reality. It is very likely almost totally subconscious but it is nonetheless a fact of life.

Everyone has likely responded to a pheromone. There are pheromones that signal the flight or fight sense. When someone is scared it is the pheromones that cause others to run too. Pheromones can be very strong, especially human pheromones signaling attraction.

Any time you interact with another person, whether in business or from an interpersonal standpoint, even the clerk at the department store, there is a relationship there. It may be totally casual because you will likely never see that person again, or it may be a relationship that you wish to continue, such as a first date with someone, or even the maintenance of the relationship that you have with your spouse.

Many companies have latched onto the idea of selling synthetic pheromones in the form of perfumes and colognes. There is not conclusive scientific proof regarding human pheromones, but many customers swear by these products and repeatedly buy them. Naturally, it takes more than simply a smell to attract a date.

Studies have shown that this also applies to marital relationships. Yes, a marriage is a relationship. It is also a partnership, although in the world today, the "partnership" aspect is not nearly as prevalent as it was when the couple was standing at the altar.

Products in the form of oils, perfume, cologne or concentrate are now commonplace in the market place although you'll need to go online to get an idea of just how big this burgeoning industry is becoming. It wasn't always like that though, as in the initial phase of pheromone marketing, there was a lot of skepticism to greet this once fledgling industry.

Most of the findings are linked to the sex pheromones as they are the easiest to determine and watch. There have been tests to see the response pheromones cause in the human body.

Human pheromones are something we all have. They impact our lives even though we are probably not aware of how they do so. Pheromones are known to be strong and important, and it cannot hurt to experiment for yourself to see if you notice any difference.

One thing that needs to be considered in relationships is the aspect of change. People change over time as a result of life experiences, both good and bad, as well as various other influences in their lives, such as job pressures, job changes, family crisis, and a wide variety of other things. Change is to be expected in any relationship, but in the martial relationship, both parties need to change in approximately the same way and in approximately the same direction. Far too often, this does not happen. The couples find, after a period of years, that they have gone down different paths as they live together, and at some point their paths have diverged too far apart to ever realistically expect that they can come back together. This leads to tension in the relationship because neither can any longer learn to EXPECT how the other will behave or react. Typically this can lead to one partner acquiring a controlling nature, because they want to go back to the day when they knew what to expect of their partner, and by exerting control, sometimes coupled with verbal abuse, they are attempting to go back to that place of relationship comfort.

Most of the work with pheromones has been studying how animals and insects use them. It is more obvious in these species than in humans. Dogs mark their territory with pheromones. Insects make paths with pheromones. They are very important to an animal or insects daily life, where as humans, we rarely even think about how we are using ours.

It's been established pheromones exist in the animal world but aren't we humans part of that world too? For example, research shows fire ants believe it or not, get aggressive when they pick up pheromones of a fellow fire ant. Research has been conducted in this area to produce a anti-pheromone if you like, to combat the aggressive nature of these ants. Fire ants are considered a menace in many societies and if a way is found to subdue them then maybe we could control there invasive nature.

Does a VNO really exist though? You know, phermones have caused great debate ever since it was suggested they play an important role in the way we humans attract one another. The crazy thing is that while there is a strong case establishing the existence of pheromones, the naysayers will still debate it to the hilt. So who is right?

Think about it, examine many of your relationships, and then ask yourself if you are not that way in reality. It is very likely almost totally subconscious but it is nonetheless a fact of life.

Ever wondered why dogs seem to take delight in sniffing each others posteriors? Same theory again... pheromones. In humans, a lot of positive research has revealed some startling information regarding menstruating women and the connection to pheromones. Furthermore, a pheromone has apparently been isolated by researchers from the sweat of men which can have an amorous effect on women.

Have you ever given any thought to how that relationship is perceived by others? In both business and general life, you would probably be very surprised to find out how you come across to other people. Many people come across as pessimistic or negative without even realizing it. Others come across as being very brass or controlling without meaning to. It is very difficult to tell where another person is coming from, since many people present themselves in a relationship as something other than they are, whether they mean to or not.

Ever get that strange feeling of attraction from sweat, yet, your first impulse is to be repulsed. It kind of draws you in and it's almost as if you can't help being attracted. It's probably human pheromones at play.

It wouldn't take long before research would start to translate into possible profits and since the 1980's, human pheromones have been marketed in one way or another as a means of attracting members of the opposite sex or for that matter, members of the same sex, for sexual pleasure.

So the question still remains... do phermones really exist? Well, perhaps they do but until research can prove conclusively that they are part of the human make up and the naysayers are convinced once and for all they do, then I guess all we can do is to enjoy the mystery surrounding human pheromones. It's a little like the aliens... are they really out there?

The discovery of pheromones in 1959 led to several developments in the areas of relationships and behaviors. Pheromones were originally associated with the chemical substances that animals usually excrete to send a message to their own species. Further research on the topic widened the definition of the word pheromones to include other species such as human beings. In fact, pheromones in humans...

Much of life is governed by what we cannot see. Viruses are microscopic, as are chemicals that can get rid of the virus. The microscopic universe has more to do with how we behave and feel than we would like to usually believe. We like to think that we are independent creatures with free will. The truth is, we are often at the mercy of molecules that are millions of times smaller than...

Pheromones act as a form of chemical communication between human beings. These chemicals are well known for their ability to attract members of the opposite sex. How do pheromones work? Human body naturally produces pheromones every day. Individuals who give off higher than average amounts of pheromones usually have greater success with attracting members of the opposite sex, while individuals who don t produce a high level of pheromones attract fewer potential mates. Pheromones are odorless chemicals and they are detected through an organ inside the...
